Dear MAG Presenters:
This year's conference will be extremely important for attendees as MAG once again will serve as the direct link to helping teachers and administrators prepare appropriate instructional strategies in response to the pending assessment changes. MAG is committed to providing as much information as possible on the new legislation and tests and what lies ahead in regard to Assessment, Instruction and Program Evaluation.
As Maryland and the School Districts are changing their assessment and education programs in response to the federal initiative "No Child Left Behind", MAG is especially interested in, but not limited to, presentations on the following topics:
While MSPAP will no longer be part of the 2002 Conference, staff development as it relates to assessment will still be among the major emphasis in acceptable presentations. We will also be seeking representatives from MSDE and the United States Department of Education to provide us with presenters focusing on state and national assessment issues.
Please submit your proposals directly on-line to:
MAG On-Line 2002 Conference Presentation Proposal Form
Please remember that the focus of MAG has always been "best practices" in helping student achievement across all measures of assessment and not a single test (MSPAP) initiative. We anticipate that as MSDE establishes guideline for the new Maryland mandated assessments, MAG will serve as a direct link to helping teachers prepare appropriate instructional strategies that promote student achievement.
