The Maryland Assessment Group (MAG) is a nonprofit organization of Maryland educators established to facilitate the improvement of all educational assessment; to inform the Maryland education community about assessment activities and results for the state and nation; and to encourage the use of assessment results to better inform instruction.

The major activity for MAG is the annual conference in November. During recent years the MAG Conference has become one of the largest education conferences in the state of Maryland.

MAG is committed to helping classroom teachers, instructional and content supervisors, and the entire educational community provide their students with successful classroom practices and activities aimed at improving student achievement as measured using a variety of testing and assessment instruments.

Please join us in November for this year's Annual Maryland Assessment Group Conference. We anticipate that as MSDE establishes guideline for the new Maryland mandated assessments, MAG will serve as a direct link to helping teachers prepare appropriate instructional strategies that promote student achievement.
